Time Management

Your new life after bariatric surgery holds so much opportunity that it can be overwhelming. You’re feeling better about yourself every day and want to make more positive changes. The best way to take advantage of new opportunities while getting your exercise in and staying away from snacks is to begin managing your time more effectively.

Whether you get a paper planner to map out your day or use an online tool, having a schedule helps you stay on track and achieve the goals you have been dreaming about.

If you work full time, mark your calendar for exercise time before or after work. Even if you are not normally a morning person, exercising in the morning is worth the extra effort and will help you feel awake and ready to go by the time you get to work. You may find your work performance even improves.

For after work scheduling, get your dinner in and maybe some stretching if you’ve had a stressful day. Then decide what to do with your evenings. Do you want to attend some local classes? If you can’t get out of the house because of children, you can take classes online through your local community college or an online college.

When you schedule your time you will get more done and achieve more of your goals. Even better, it will keep you away from the television and away from unhealthy snacking temptation.
